Float4 is seeking Freelance Senior Project Managers to support the delivery of immersive and experiential projects. While both positions share strong project leadership foundations, they correspond to two distinct areas of expertise:

- Senior Project Manager – Tech & Development

Job description
- Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
These are hybrid roles based in Montreal, requiring on-site presence at our studio. Candidates must be currently based in Quebec and legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application.
Applicants must also have a minimum of seven years of demonstrated project management experience delivering multimedia, experiential, or interactive projects, and be fully bilingual in English and French.

- Senior Project Manager – Content
This role focuses on the end-to-end production of digital and multimedia content for immersive installations and media architecture projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage content production workflows,
schedules and deliverables
- Track project costs, monitor and update project budgets
- Coordinate internal creative teams and external collaborators
- Ensure creative intent is respected while balancing scope, timeline and budget
- Anticipate production challenges and manage risks
- Prepare and review production documentation
- Act as a point of contact with the client for project communications and approval of project deliverables
- Support pitches and RFPs when required
Profile
- 7+ years’ experience producing digital, multimedia or experiential content
- Strong understanding of content production and 2D/3D post-production workflows(motion design, interactive media, real-time or screen-based content)
- Proven experience managing creative teams and external partners
- Excellent command of budgets, schedules and production logistics
- Professional fluency in English and French
English is required to collaborate with English-speaking clients, suppliers and freelancers, and to review and prepare documentation and project communications in English, as needed.
- Senior Project Manager – Tech & Development
This role focuses on the delivery of technically complex, interactive and system-driven projects, including real-time applications, custom software, hardware integration and AV systems.
Key responsibilities
- Define and manage technical and interactive production workflows
- Develop and maintain technical schedules, milestones and deliverables
- Track project costs, monitor and update project budgets
- Coordinate internal technical, interactive and creative teams, as well as external partners
- Anticipate technical risks, system dependencies and integration challenges
- Oversee procurement of technical equipment, software and third-party services
- Act as a point of contact with the client for project communications and approval of project deliverables
- Support pitches and RFPs when required
Profile
- 7+ years’ experience managing technical or interactive projects
- Robust understanding of interactive development pipelines and multimedia systems, including real-time engines, custom software, hardware integration, AV and control systems
- Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams
- Excellent command of budgets, schedules and technical production logistics
- Professional fluency in English and French

- Contract
This is an initial 6-month freelance contract requiring full-time availability (40 hours per week). The role follows a hybrid work model based at our studio in Montreal.
