We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Polisher/Finisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards. Your expertise in polishing, finishing, and surface preparation will contribute to the production of top-tier metal products. Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and polishing equipment to smooth and finish metal surfaces according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine finishing requirements
- Operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools to shape and refine metal parts
- Perform welding tasks including MIG welding to repair or assemble components as needed
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools to ensure surface finish meets standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and support lean manufacturing initiatives for efficiency improvements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal polishing, finishing, or related manufacturing roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes and hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with welding techniques such as MIG welding is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during finishing processes
- Familiarity with quality control procedures using calipers and other inspection tools
- Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team setting
