About the Job

You own parcel.

Every order we touch ships. That makes parcel one of the largest cost lines and one of the largest opportunities in the business. This seat owns the carrier network behind it, the technology that runs it, the revenue it produces, and the margin it returns.

You negotiate and manage the carriers. You own the contracts, the integrations, and the performance. You own the product roadmap and work directly with engineering on rate shopping, tracking, billing, and claims. You are the parcel expert the sales team brings into their biggest deals. And you own the P&L; at the end of it.

You carry a revenue number and you carry a cost line, and you are accountable for both.

Your ResponsibilitiesCarrier Network

- Own every carrier relationship: national, regional, postal consolidator, and international
- Negotiate contracts, tiers, and incentives, and re-negotiate before we outgrow the terms
- Launch new carriers with a repeatable playbook: contract, integration, rate load, pilot, scale
- Manage carrier performance on delivery, damage, exceptions, and billing accuracy
- Forecast capacity ahead of peak so we are never the reason a delivery promise gets missed
- Own the cost curve, including surcharges, DIM factors, zone mix, and accessorials

Technology and Product

- Own the parcel product roadmap and prioritize it against revenue and margin impact
- Own carrier integrations end to end and keep the connections stable
- Build and improve rate shopping logic so every label routes to the right carrier and service level
- Own the tooling for label generation, tracking, billing, invoice audit, and claims
- Work with engineering as the voice of the customer, and be accountable for adoption, not just launch

Revenue and Go To Market

- Own the parcel revenue number and forecast it with the same rigor as direct sales
- Grow parcel adoption across our existing customer base

- Originate and close new parcel business directly
- Be the parcel expert for the sales org on scoping, rate analysis, pricing, and solution design
- Build the tools reps need to sell parcel without you in the room
- Run business reviews with enterprise customers on parcel performance, spend, and roadmap

Operational Discipline

- Own parcel billing end to end and close the gap between what we bill and what we are billed
- Run invoice audit and recovery
- Own claims and exception management, and drive down volume at the root cause
- Build the reporting cadence that gives finance, ops, and leadership one version of the truth
- Partner with warehouse leadership on label flow, manifesting, and pickup performance
- Manage the parcel P&L;

Main Metrics

- Parcel revenue
- Parcel gross margin
- Label volume growth
- Cost per label
- New carriers contracted and launched
- Parcel adoption across the customer base
- On-time delivery performance
- Billing accuracy and audit recovery

Skills and Qualifications

- 8+ years in parcel, transportation, or ecommerce logistics, with at least 4 in a leadership seat
- Proven track record negotiating and managing national and regional carrier contracts, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL eCommerce, Canada Post, and regional and consolidator networks
- You have carried a revenue number and hit it, and you have owned a cost line and defended it
- Deep command of parcel economics: zones, DIM weight, surcharges, accessorials, earned discounts,

and how they compound
- Experience building or heavily influencing shipping technology, including rate shopping, TMS, or multi-carrier platforms
- Comfortable in front of an enterprise buyer and comfortable in front of a carrier VP, in the same week
- You understand how a 3PL buys, prices, and resells parcel
- Solid analytical range: you can build the model yourself, and you can explain it in one slide
- Bias toward building systems instead of handling every issue personally
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field, or the equivalent in operator scar tissue
