Polycrete Restorations is a structural restoration and waterproofing company who provides repair solutions and waterproofing to concrete parkades, plaza decks, retail operations, and slip resistant coatings for traffic and pedestrian walkways.

We are looking for a new team member to fill the position of Junior Foreman/Foreperson.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will work with a crew of on-site professionals to provide daily labour support at projects throughout the Lower Mainland related to waterproofing and structural restoration and concrete repair.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide daily leadership, site mentorship, and technical support to the on-site team
- Coordinate with the project management team and other trades to keep things running smoothly
- Fill out and submit required daily and weekly safety documents
- Ensure crew are on task, and working safely
- Perform concrete injections (epoxy, polyurethane, acrylate), as required
- Perform concrete repairs and waterproofing work, as required
- Repair, resurface and replace damaged concrete structures
- Operate power tools, small equipment, and ensure junior crew members have proper training to operate
- Prepare and install traffic deck coating, as required
- Maintain general site cleanliness to ensure job sites are explicit of hazards, waste, and scrap material
- Use necessary hand tools, concrete finishing tools, epoxy tools and trowels
- Load/unload site materials and equipment, keeping everything on site organized
- Maintain positive attitude to ensure positive work environment
- Assist with training and mentoring junior workers
- Understand and promote our Health & Safety program & culture,

To qualify for this role, you have:

- 3+ years of field supervision experience in the concrete repair or structural restoration industry, required
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience leading and mentoring crews, possibly working as a lead hand in a previous role
- Experience engaging with and resolving client concerns
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints, an asset
- Proficient with mobile technology resources, such as tablets
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work within tight deadlines
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Robust communications (written and oral), planning, and training skills
- Self-starting, team player willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company

Working Conditions:

- Field environment, working to deadlines, required to wear PPE which may include a respirator
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business
- Willing to travel locally between sites

Pay: $32.00-$34.00 per hour
