We are looking for an organized, dependable, and proactive Store Retail Manager to lead our retail operations, support our team, and ensure our store runs smoothly day in and day out.
Role Overview
As the Store Manager, you will oversee day-to-day storefront operations, lead and train sales associates, maintain inventory accuracy, and serve as the main operational hub for administrative, digital, and team needs. - Facility & Vendor Management: Report and oversee store maintenance issues (leaks, property damage), and coordinate repairs with contractors.
- Digital & Online Presence: Update company registries, respond to online reviews, and collaborate with the Social Media Manager to schedule content recording sessions with the team.
Leadership & Team Management
- Hiring & Training: Recruit, onboard, and train retail staff on store policies, Lightspeed POS workflows, and product handling.
- Scheduling: Build and maintain team work schedules.
- Team Support: Provide mobile support to scheduled on-duty staff, acting as a point of contact for escalations, questions, or schedule changes.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Inventory Control: Lead regular inventory counts, manage stock reordering, and track inventory shrinkage.
- Floor Operations: Oversee store organization, cleanliness, and visual merchandising. Ensure retro video games, consoles, and accessories are properly cleaned, tested, refurbished, packaged, and displayed.
Customer Service & Sales Floor
- Deliver high-quality customer service, advising customers on classic video games, retro consoles, accessories, and trade-ins.
- Process sales, trade-ins, and returns using Lightspeed POS while maintaining strict oversight on cash handling and discounts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience (experience in video games, electronics, or retro collectibles is a major plus!).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets/Docs), website content management, and Point of Sale systems (experience with Lightspeed POS is a solid advantage).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for dealing with customers, staff, accountants, and vendors.
- Organization: Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership: Supportive leadership style focused on training, clear communication, and team growth.
