Chris' Place, a recent men's mental health facility located just south of Capilano, is looking for a Registered Psychologist to join our team.

Our newly renovated facility is dedicated to providing practical, professional mental health support for men in our community and the surrounding area. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, experienced, and committed to helping men improve their mental health and overall well-being.

Requirements

- Registered Psychologist in good standing with College Of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- Experience working with men's mental health is preferred
- All required registration hours completed
- Strong assessment, treatment, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Please note: Provisional Psychologists are not eligible for this position

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for adult clients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client goals.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy for men experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, relationship issues, and life stressors.
- Maintain accurate,



confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure clients receive coordinated care.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when required.
- Educate clients on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and professional guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience providing psychological assessment and therapy for adults.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, or trauma-informed care is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice.
- Passion for supporting men's mental health and fostering positive outcomes within the community.
