Datum Details is a premium home care and maintenance company serving Calgary's finest custom homes. We're backed by Datum Homes, an established custom home builder, and Cathedral Custom, our millwork and cabinetry shop. We're young, growing, and building this company deliberately.

The Role
You came up in the trades, you know how a house works, and you can still swing a hammer, but you're ready to run the show instead of just working the job. That's this role. You'll be in clients' homes and on site every day: doing the hands-on work when it makes sense, directing trades when it doesn't, and owning every job from first walkthrough to final sign-off.

If you can frame a wall and price the job, correct a trade and reassure a client, this is built for you.

What You'll Do

- Do the work: hands-on repairs, maintenance, and small fixes across drywall, carpentry, finishing, and home systems, so you're not waiting on a trade for everything
- Know the systems: understand how the mechanical, plumbing, and building envelope of a high-end home actually work, and what "right" looks like
- Scope and price: walk the job, figure out exactly what's needed, get pricing, and put together accurate estimates
- Source and resource: know what to buy, where to get it, and have it on site before the crew needs it
- Run the trades: schedule them, walk scopes with them, hold them to quality and timelines, and don't get walked on
- Own quality and closeout: confirm the work is genuinely done and to standard before the client ever has to ask




- Handle clients like a pro: clear updates, no surprises, in homes where trust matters
- Grow the work: spot when a client needs more than they asked for, and help turn one-off jobs into ongoing maintenance relationships
- Help build the systems as we grow a scheduled maintenance program for Calgary's best homes

Who You Are

- Years of real field experience in construction, renovation, or home maintenance, with time on the tools
- You can actually do the work: framing, drywall, carpentry, finishing, basic mechanical, and you know valuable from bad by looking at it
- You've scoped and priced jobs and been accountable for the outcome
- Trades respect you. You're easy to work with, but firm
- You communicate like a professional with discerning clients, in person and in writing
- Organized and self-directed. You close your own loops
- Comfortable with digital tools (we run on Slack and our own software)
- Valid driver's license required

Compensation

- $70,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience and capability
- Direct access to ownership and real influence on how this company gets built
