Morning Prep Cook – Vietnamese Café Commissary KitchenJob Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Morning Prep Cook to join our growing commissary kitchen team. Our commissary supports multiple Vietnamese café locations, producing fresh, high-quality ingredients and menu items that are delivered daily. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a production kitchen and wants to grow with an expanding company.

The ideal candidate has previous commercial kitchen experience, is comfortable working early morning shifts, and has some familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine, ingredients, and preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh ingredients according to recipes and daily production schedules
- Wash, chop, slice, marinate, portion, and cook ingredients for multiple café locations
- Prepare stocks, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu components
- Pack and organize products for delivery to each café location
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep station throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Label, date, and store products properly while maintaining FIFO inventory practices
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory as needed
- Work closely with the kitchen team to meet production goals while maintaining consistency and quality

Qualifications





- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a commercial kitchen is required
- Experience with Vietnamese cuisine is preferred
- Familiarity with Vietnamese ingredients, herbs, sauces, and traditional preparation methods is an asset
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of fundamental cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
