Fruit Stand Sales Representative

Term: Mid -July to late-September
Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
About 5 days/week: 8-hour shifts, may include weekends

Berrymobile Fruit Distribution Inc. is a Vancouver-based company dedicated to bringing fresh, local, and ethically grown fruit from BC farms directly to our community. What began as a single roadside stand has grown into a network of vibrant fruit stands in some of Vancouver’s busiest parks — and we’re still growing!

We take pride in delivering high-quality produce while supporting BC farmers and promoting sustainable, local food systems.

Position Overview

We’re hiring enthusiastic, reliable team members to represent Berrymobile at our outdoor fruit stands this summer. If you enjoy being outside, love fresh fruit, and are energized by engaging with people, this role is for you! This position is ideal for students, seasonal workers, or anyone looking to spend the summer working in a dynamic, rapid-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers with a smile and provide exceptional customer service
- Set up and take down tents, tables, and displays (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs)
- Create attractive, organized fruit displays that reflect our brand
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Track sales and manage daily inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting workspace
- Work independently and take initiative to solve minor issues
- Promote a positive and welcoming setting for customers
- Represent Berrymobile’s values of sustainability and community support

What We’re Looking For





- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working on your feet outdoors for extended periods
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be available to work at least one weekend day
- Previous retail, sales, or market experience is a plus
- FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is an asset
- Completion of Grade 12 preferred

Compensation

- $18.25/hour + Tips
- Staff discount on local fruit
