We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to cover maternity leave at our busy dental practice. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced dental setting. Bilingual skills are a plus, as we serve a diverse patient population. Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments in accordance with established protocols
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
- Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Take and develop radiographs, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Provide support with orthodontic or pediatric cases when applicable
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards




- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Support front desk staff with patient scheduling and customer service duties as necessary

Qualifications

- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Prior experience working in dental offices, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic cases
- Proficiency with CLEARDENT or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance patient care and communication
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and safety protocols
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
