Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance projects, focusing on irrigation, gardening, horticulture, and construction activities. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, supervising experience, and a solid background in landscape and construction work. As a Lead Hand, you will play a key role in guiding team members, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including irrigation systems, gardening tasks, and horticultural practices.
- Lead a team of workers to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
- Oversee installation and repair of irrigation systems and other landscape features.
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as site preparation, planting, and structural modifications.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to improve skills and productivity.
- Monitor project progress, report on status,



and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain equipment and tools used in landscape maintenance and construction.

Requirements

- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields.
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping techniques, and horticultural practices.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Construction experience is a plus for handling site preparation and structural tasks.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 45 per week
