Duties

- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to established specifications and customer requests
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package meat products neatly and accurately for display or customer purchase, maintaining freshness and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Assist customers with their meat selections, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, providing excellent customer service
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination or spoilage




- Support inventory management by rotating stock, recording product weights, and notifying supervisors of low supplies

Requirements

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and familiarity with various cuts of meat
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate knives, saws, scales, and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise cuts and quality standards are met
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads when necessary
- Customer service skills with a friendly attitude to assist shoppers effectively
