The Accounting Officer will manage full-cycle accounting activities with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, bookkeeping, compliance, and financial reporting. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry and strong practical knowledge of QuickBooks.

Key Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Minimum five (5) years of accounting experience within an Industrial Food & Beverage environment.

· Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (QB).

Experience with ERP systems

· Strong understanding of GST/HST, month-end close, AP, AR and bank reconciliations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.

· Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills

Accounts Payable Management

· Receive, review and process supplier invoices.

· Match invoices against purchase orders, receiving records and contracts.

· Ensure proper approval and coding of transactions.

· Prepare and process EFT, wire and cheque payments.

· Maintain accurate vendor files and support supplier inquiries.

Accounts Receivable Management and Reconciliation

· Monitor customer balances and outstanding invoices.

· Perform customer account reconciliations and statement reviews.

· Apply customer payments accurately.

· Investigate short payments, deductions and disputed balances.





· Follow up on overdue accounts and support collections.

· Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports.

Reconciliation and Financial Reporting

· Perform vendor, customer, bank and general ledger reconciliations.

· Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes.

· Prepare accruals and schedules.

· Assist with cash flow, expense and management reports.

Compliance and Internal Controls

· Ensure compliance with GST/HST and regulatory requirements.

· Support internal and external audits.

· Maintain strong internal controls and confidentiality of financial information.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

· Work with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Warehouse and Production teams.

· Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Timely invoice processing and payment accuracy.

· Reduction of overdue receivables.

· Monthly reconciliation completion within deadlines.

· Audit compliance with minimal findings.

· Accuracy of accounting records and financial reports.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A hands-on accounting professional with manufacturing experience in the Food & Beverage sector, capable of managing both payables and receivables, maintaining solid vendor and customer relationships, and supporting business growth through accurate financial management.
