Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on welding experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys while maintaining exceptional quality and precision. A valid CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Prepare, fit, and assemble metal components prior to welding.
- Ensure all welds meet CWB standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
- Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance.
- Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely.
- Maintain welding equipment and report any maintenance requirements.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication setting.
- Valid CWB Welding Certificate (required).
- Strong experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Excellent knowledge of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
