Job Title: Driver / Support Assistant (Autism Support)

Location: Windsor, ON
Schedule: Morning and evening shifts (approximately 1 hour each)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver / Support Assistant to provide safe transportation and basic community support for an individual with autism. This role involves morning and evening rides, along with attentive supervision to ensure a calm, structured, and safe experience during outings.

Responsibilities

- Provide safe and timely transportation to and from community locations
- Maintain a calm, patient, and supportive setting during rides
- Follow simple guidance from caregiver regarding routines and preferences
- Be attentive to behaviour and respond appropriately if needed
- Ensure vehicle is clean, safe, and reliable for daily use

Requirements





- Valid Class G driver’s license
- Reliable, insured vehicle with clean driving record
- Basic understanding of autism and ability to remain calm and patient
- Punctual, dependable, and consistent
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a support team
- Must have Valid Vulnerable sector check

Compensation

- Flat rate: $35 per shift (all-inclusive)

Additional Information

- Experience working with individuals with autism is an asset, but not required
- Training and guidance will be provided as needed
- Ideal for someone responsible, caring, and looking for part-time work

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
