One Kind Express is a rapidly growing logistics provider specializing in big & bulky last-mile delivery, including furniture, appliances, and home goods. We partner with leading retailers across Canada to provide safe, qualified, customer-focused delivery services.

We are expanding our delivery network and are looking for Owner-Operators with 5-ton trucks (16–26 ft) to join our team in Calgary, Red Deer, Madison Hat, Lethbridge.

What You Will Do

As an Owner-Operator Driver, you will:

- Perform final-mile residential and commercial deliveries
- Handle and transport boxed furniture and home goods safely
- Follow our delivery service levels:
- Curbside – Deliver to driveway/curb only, photo as POD
- Threshold – Deliver just inside main door/garage/lobby, no unpacking
- Threshold Plus – Room-of-choice, up to 3 flights of stairs, unpack & remove debris
- White Glove (Assembly) – Room-of-choice, unpack, assemble, remove all packaging, leave area clean
- Take photos:
- Inside truck before unloading
- All 4 sides of boxes before delivery
- Proof of delivery inside (Threshold/Threshold Plus)
- Final setup for White Glove deliveries
- Check and follow BOL (Bill of Lading) instructions and service level
- Upload signed BOL / POD through our app or system after each delivery
- Call dispatch immediately in case of:
- Damage, refusal, return, address change, or unsafe conditions
- Keep original paperwork and return it to the warehouse as required

SOP & Product Handling Expectations

You will be required to follow our Product Handling and Unpacking SOP, including:





- Use only plastic-safe cutters – never cut directly on product surfaces
- Follow all labels, arrows, and “This Side Up” instructions
- Special care for:
- BBQs – never place upside down
- Leather sofas – unwrap by hand / soft tools, no blades
- Mirrors/glass – always upright, two-person handling, never leaned or stacked
- In case of damage or return:
- Take clear photos of product & packaging from all angles
- Save all original packaging, labels, barcodes
- Report immediately to dispatch or supervisor
- If a service level is downgraded on site (e.g., White Glove → Threshold):
- Have the customer initial the dedicated section on the BOL
- Take detailed photos of all cartons at point of delivery
- Ensure BOL is fully completed before leaving

Failure to follow SOP may result in chargebacks, loss of premium jobs, or removal from future routes.

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

- 5-ton truck, 16–26 ft (liftgate strongly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Active commercial auto, cargo, and liability insurance
- Two-person delivery team for big & bulky items (driver + helper)
- Moving/handling equipment (dollies, straps, blankets, basic tools)
- Smartphone with data for apps, photos, and document upload




- Strong customer service attitude and professional appearance

Assets (nice to have):

- Experience in furniture / appliance delivery
- Basic furniture assembly skills (for White Glove work)
- Experience with POD/BOL apps or DispatchTrack-type systems

Schedule

- Monday–Friday, with weekend work available depending on routes
- Local/regional routes — home every night
- Work volume based on demand and performance

Compensation

- Independent Contractor / Owner-Operator role
- Paid per order
- Higher pay for White Glove / assembly services
- Eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses based on:
- Professionalism
- Compliance with SOP
- Positive customer reviews
