Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Welder with heavy-equipment mechanical experience to join our team. This role involves performing complex welding tasks on truck mounted equipment and chassis, as well as various mechanical tasks ensuring precision and safety at every step . Duties

- Read and interpret detailed technical drawings to accurately execute welding projects
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on diverse materials, including steel and aluminum, with precision and consistency
- Use plasma cutting tools, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to build and assemble metal components
- Conduct rigging operations to lift, position, and secure heavy-duty materials safely using cranes or forklifts
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes
- Measure dimensions accurately with calipers and other measuring devices to ensure proper fitment




- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all welding, cutting, rigging, and assembly activities
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used

Experience

- Proven journeyman-level experience as a welder specializing in heavy-duty applications
- Extensive hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques on large-scale projects
- Solid mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hydraulic systems
- Skilled in rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for heavy lifting tasks
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters etc
- Experience working with structural fabrication
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical schematics accurately and execute precise welds under safety standards
- Prior experience in heavy-duty environments involving heavy machinery operation is highly desirable

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
