Hours: 3 hour shifts, 9 am-12pm daily, Monday to Friday

Compensation: $20.50 - as provided by the County of Wellington

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate team member to join our preschool team as a support staff within the program. This team member will jump into daily program operations and lead children through the morning program, supporting both the educators and children as required.

As a startup organization, we have worked hard over the past few months to establish routines and expectations within our preschool program and have discovered that an extra set of hands is required to better meet the needs of the children, staff and the program.

Key Responsibilities

- Classroom Excellence: Implement high-quality programming for Preschool (16 children) room based on the How Does Learning Happen? framework.
- Collaborative Teaching: Work in a team environment (RECE/ECA mix).
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and a welcoming environment for student educators on practicum placements and community volunteers.
- Skill Sharing: Share your skills in inclusion and experience with children with an ASD diagnosis with our team and program.
- Family Partnership: Build authentic, professional relationships with our cooperative’s families, keeping them informed of their child’s growth and daily discoveries.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in our freshly renovated facilities,



adhering to all CCEYA and Public Health regulations.

Qualifications

- RECEs (preferred): Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Experience with children with an ASD diagnosis is an asset.
- Clearance: Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and up-to-date immunizations (including TB test).
- Safety: Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C..
- Physicality: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit on the floor, bend, and move quickly to ensure child safety.
