Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Finisher/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various concrete projects, including finishing, formwork, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction practices, with experience in concrete finishing and related trades. This position offers opportunities for hands-on work in a dynamic workplace, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces to meet project specifications.
- Assist with rebar installation and placement to reinforce concrete structures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Assist with concrete forming, caulking, and installation of flooring or other related finishes.
- Support masonry work and restoration tasks as needed for renovation projects.
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement around the job site while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other trades to coordinate project activities.




- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site.

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
- Knowledge in steal forms and grey beams
- Skilled carpentry perfered
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, and masonry techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques including smoothing, troweling, and texturing, and full use of a power trowel
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, welding, caulking, and site operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining physical stamina.
- Experience (2-5 years) in construction environments with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.This role requires a motivated individual with a solid background in construction trades who is committed to safety standards and quality workmanship. Prior experience with concrete finishing or related skills is highly valued for this position.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
