Electrician (Commercial, Industrial & Controls)

Dewar Services is a growing electrical contractor serving Wellington North, Grey Bruce, and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced, motivated electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Install and troubleshoot industrial controls.
- Build, wire, and test electrical control panels.
- Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and company safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications

- Preferred 5 years of electrical experience.
- Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A preferred).
- Experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.




- Experience with industrial control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and electrical control panel assembly and wiring is an asset.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean abstract. DZ licence is an asset.
- Able to travel to customer sites throughout Wellington North and Grey Bruce, with occasional travel outside the area with overnight stay as required.
