Austrian Canadian Cultural Centre -Now Hiring: Permanent Part-Time Line Cook for evening shift

The Austrian-Canadian Cultural Centre is located in NE Calgary and provides a fine European dining experience to our guests. Our menu offers an array of selections, each hand-crafted using fresh, quality ingredients. Our dining room and lounge cater to our members for lunch and dinner as well as larger special celebrations. Our lounge specializes in specialty Austrian and German beers.

The Austrian-Canadian Cultural Centre has a large, devoted membership base. The club’s

atmosphere and annual events help to celebrate Austrian-Canadian culture.

Successful Line Cooks:

· memorize recipes, procedures and standard portion sizes

· prepare ingredients and components of each recipe on the restaurant’s menu

· maintain freshness of product and rotating old product out

· maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination

· are aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

Available for shifts from 4pm to 8pm, Thursday through Saturday

Honest and reliable, dependable, has professional work habits





Minimum of 3 years experience

Experience and Key Attributes:

Attention to detail

Ability to organize and plan

Prepare Austrian / German style foods (training will be provided)

Work independently

Desire to be a part of a small tight-knit team and contribute as such

Culinary Arts certificate and/or work experience in reputable restaurants are preferred

Compensation

Compensation is based on skills, training and experience. Rate: $ 19 - $21/hr. Daily staff meal is included plus gratuities!
