Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. This role requires a robust understanding of commercial, industrial and residential installation methods as well as the ability to work with both low voltage systems. The Electrician will ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Work with low voltage systems, including alarms and communication systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all work activities.
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints related to electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, codes, and safety practices.
- Experience as an industrial electrician is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with low voltage systems effectively.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
