Hiring servers and bartenders for a new and exciting Japanese restaurant located at Oakville Place mall.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Staff to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service environment, providing excellent customer experiences. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success. This position involves various responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation of our establishment and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment handling
- Manage cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing transactions accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to ensure freshness and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and efficient workflow




- Support team members as needed to ensure a positive dining environment

Skills

- Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards to ensure safety and compliance
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing orders accurately
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively

Pay: $17.65-$28.00 per hour
