We are seeking skilled and motivated Technicians with geomembrane installation experience to join our clients growing team and support projects. In this hands-on field role, you'll support the installation, welding, and testing of high-performance geomembrane liners used in landfills, ponds, mining operations, and industrial containment projects. We're looking for safety-focused individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in producing quality work, and are eager to contribute to critical environmental infrastructure projects.

Pay: $26.00-30.00/hour

Responsibilities

- Follow instructions and work under the direction of the Site Supervisor.
- Assist with geomembrane liner installation and panel placement.
- Pull liner, move and place sandbags, and perform other physical labour as required.
- Safely operate hand clamps and other installation equipment.
- Clean seams using approved methods and materials.
- Pull rub sheets and assist with liner protection.
- Stage sandbags for panel placement, including trout lines for slopes, toe, and leading edges.
- Align liner sheets and understand proper sheet overlap requirements.
- Start generators and perform basic daily checks, including oil level inspections.




- Set up and operate dewatering equipment.
- Grind and prepare liner surfaces for welding.
- Use a Leister welder to tack material.
- Safely use knives and cutting tools to trim geomembrane liners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work workplace.

Qualifications

- Previous geomembrane installation experience preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Physically capable of lifting, pulling, carrying, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and site-required drug and alcohol testing.
- Current safety certifications are considered an asset, including: CSTS, WHMIS, Confined Space, H2S Alive, Wildlife Awareness
- Strong awareness of surroundings and adherence to all site safety requirements.
