Applicant must live within commuting distance to Ponoka, Alberta. You need not apply if this isn't the case. We are not looking for someone wishing to re-locate to the area.
This position involves regular travel and working away from home.
Brothers Industrial Services Ltd. is hiring a full-time Crew Foreman to lead a 2–4 person crew performing industrial cleaning via dry ice blasting and silo de-bulking services throughout Western Canada. Our work takes place in oil sands facilities, gas plants, petrochemical sites, and agribusiness operations.
We are looking for a career-minded individual who take pride in safety, leadership, honesty, and professional conduct. Brothers operates with small crews, so honesty, integrity, accountability, and being straightforward with your team are essential.
Busy season: April–September (primarily field work)
Slower season: October–March (majority of work in our Ponoka shop)
Dry ice blasting experience is not required. Oilfield or industrial experience with leadership responsibilities is required. The successful candidate will complete 1-2 months of hands-on training before being signed off as competent.

- Confined Space Entry/Monitor – ESC

- Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) – ESC
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be local to our Ponoka branch (10 minutes west of Ponoka, AB)
- Speak and understand English well
- Pass a 12-panel drug test (including marijuana) and remain drug free for the duration of employment
- Hold a valid driver’s licence with insurable abstract and reliable transportation
- Be able to work away from home for extended periods
- Be physically fit and capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, overhead work
- Work in hot, dusty industrial environments
- Work at heights,
on scaffolding and MEWPs, and in confined spaces (after training)
- Wear air-purifying respirators and supplied-air systems when required
- Be comfortable driving a midsize flat deck truck while towing a cargo trailer in various road, weather, and site conditions. Experience hauling trailers is considered an asset.
- Have a cell phone with data plan and be readily available
- Be proficient in basic computer skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small crew in the safe operation of dry ice blasting systems, air compressors, generators, and silo de-bulking equipment
- Conduct safety meetings, hazard assessments, and near-miss reporting
- Follow all OH&S;, company, and client safety regulations
- Maintain Brother's solid safety culture
- Deliver high-quality work while maintaining positive client relationships
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage: $40/hour
- Overtime paid after 8 hours per day and on weekends
- Travel time paid at regular rate
