About the role
I’m a lifestyle and travel content creator building a personal brand focused on fashion, beauty, and travel.
I’m looking for a hands-on Content Producer / Videographer who will be responsible for filming and producing high-quality content for my social media accounts.
This is primarily an in-person production role. You’ll shoot with me at least twice per week around Toronto and work closely with me and my Social Media Manager to turn approved ideas into polished, visually consistent content.
The overall social media strategy will be led by my Social Media Manager. Your responsibility will be the creative and technical execution: how the content is filmed, directed, styled, lit, recorded, and edited.
What you’ll do
- Plan and organize at least two content shoots per week
- Film and direct me during in-person shoots
- Collaborate with me and my Social Media Manager on content ideas and execution
- Help turn concepts, scripts, and references into strong visual content
- Suggest creative ideas, locations, angles, transitions, and filming formats
- Manage the full production process, including lighting, framing, composition, sound quality, and camera settings
- Make sure each shoot is organized, efficient, and properly prepared
- Edit Reels, TikToks, Stories, and other short-form content, or coordinate the editing process
- Maintain consistent visual quality across all published content
- Review footage after each shoot and ensure all required content has been captured
- Recommend improvements to the production quality and overall presentation of the account
- Stay familiar with relevant visual trends in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and travel content
What I’m looking for
- Strong experience filming short-form social media content
- A portfolio showing your filming and editing work is required
- Strong understanding of lighting, sound,
framing, composition, and visual storytelling
- Confidence directing a person on camera
- Ability to make content look natural, polished, and editorial
- Strong iPhone filming skills; skilled camera experience is a plus
- Experience editing in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
- Good understanding of Reels, TikTok, Stories, and vertical video formats
- Comfortable collaborating with a Social Media Manager and working from approved concepts or scripts
- Self-directed and proactive — you bring production ideas and solutions instead of waiting for detailed instructions
- Reliable, organized, and able to attend regular in-person shoots
- Based in Toronto or the GTA with reliable transportation
Creative direction
My content is understated, polished, and editorial. I’m not looking for loud, overly commercial, or trend-chasing content.
The right person should have strong visual taste and understand how to create premium-looking lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and travel content while keeping it authentic and natural.
Nice to have
- Experience working with lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or travel creators
- Experience producing sponsored or branded content
- Photography skills
- Experience shooting both indoors and outdoors
- Understanding of content requirements for brand partnerships
- Ability to help prepare shot lists, references, and mood boards
Compensation
- Hourly rate for all approved time worked, including preparation, shooting, and editing
To apply
Please send:
- Your portfolio or examples of content you personally filmed
- Examples of videos you personally edited
- Links to creator or brand accounts you’ve worked with
Applications without clear examples of both filming and editing work will not be considered.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
