Job Overview
As a Host/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of seating in our restaurant. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions.
- Assist in answering phone calls with proper phone etiquette and taking reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for managing guest orders when necessary.
Skills
- Strong background in guest services and customer service, with an emphasis on hospitality.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- A friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding service to all guests.
