Job Overview

The sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring a safe, compassionate, and qualified patient experience. This role requires strong technical expertise, clinical judgment, and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, small parts, and musculoskeletal imaging)

· Prepare patients, obtain history, and explain procedures clearly.

· Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images

· Ensure accurate documentation and maintain imaging records

· Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams

· Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards

· Support workflow efficiency in both scheduled and urgent environments

Qualifications & Requirements

Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program

Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Professionals of Saskatchewan (CMRIPS).





Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred

Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound procedures

Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Work schedule:

Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch break)

Contract (6–12 months) or Permanent
