The Opportunity:
Our client, a leading North American manufacturer operating one of the region's most advanced and highly automated production facilities, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is an exceptional prospect for an engineering leader who is passionate about asset reliability, operational excellence, and developing high-performing teams.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading all maintenance and reliability functions across the facility while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a significant operational impact while building a long-term leadership career within a large, diversified organization.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead all maintenance, reliability and asset management activities across the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Coach, mentor and develop maintenance supervisors, engineers and skilled trades teams.
- Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate safety standards
- Manage maintenance planning, scheduling and contractor performance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to optimize plant performance.
- Lead capital improvement projects and provide engineering support for plant initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on equipment reliability, productivity and cost optimization.
- Develop maintenance budgets and monitor departmental performance against key operational metrics.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 7+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical background; electrical, controls or automation experience is considered an asset.
- Proven experience leading maintenance and engineering teams in a safety-critical environment
- Experience developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) is considered an asset.
Compensation Range: $120,000 - $140,000
Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
