Job Summary

Frame West Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Framer Carpenter (NOC 72310) to join our construction team in Kelowna, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality prefabricated wood wall panels and structural framing components for multi-family mid-rise residential developments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your carpentry skills in a modern framing shop focused on precision, safety, and quality timber construction practices.

Responsibilities

- Execute framing tasks using pneumatic nail guns, staplers, power saws, and hand tools while maintaining a strict safety record with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, layouts, and technical sketches to determine project specifications and ensure construction accuracy.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components into high-precision wall panels for multi-family mid-rise residential buildings.
- Assist in the assembly of prefabricated wood-framed sections and modular components.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control during panel assembly to ensure elements are accurately executed according to architectural and engineering specifications.




- Ensure all work meets BC Building Code standards, company quality benchmarks, and facility safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in framing, rough carpentry, or prefabricated wood component assembly.
- Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret structural blueprints and technical shop drawings.
- Proficiency with pneumatic tools, power saws, woodworking equipment, and standard hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of BC Building Code framing standards and residential structural requirements.
- Physical capability to conduct heavy lifting, handle framing materials, and work comfortably on your feet in a shop floor environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a steadfast commitment to workplace safety.
