We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities

The role of Accounting Clerk consists of the following:

- Facilitate the day-to-day financial operations of the law firm's Ontario operations.
- Be familiar with Ontario Law Society reporting requirements.
- Ensure billing, accounts, and collections are attended to in a timely manner.




- Process firm and client payables and ensure receivables are collected.
- Follow up with other law firms regarding transfer files, outstanding fee collections, and the receipt of settlement funds.
- Perform data entry of trust and firm cheques, including processing, verification, and reconciliation.
- Post direct deposits, e-transfers, and manual deposits.
- Process cheques and credit card payments.
- Provide overall accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Trust reports.
- Prepare transaction reports.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
