Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary: Reporting to the Operations Manager, our client's ideal candidate will be driven, detail-oriented, possess phenomenal organizational skills, and have a proven track record of exceptional communication with clients, partners, and co-workers in a fast-paced and competitive industry. This role is essential to our smooth operations as they are the key communicator between our client’s sales, production, and shipping teams internally, while also liaising with customer and strategic partners externally. As this is a customer-facing role, the Logistics Coordinator will have a deep understanding of how to provide exceptional customer service, be skilled in problem-solving, and be able to create out-of-the-box solutions “on the fly” to complex shipping and logistics challenges. This role will be solely responsible for the back-end delivery schedule, optimizing geographical delivery plans, and providing daily direction to our delivery team.

Job Location: Ilderton, ON (20 minutes Northwest from London)

Job Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent. 100% on-site.

Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; Day Shift. (usually 6:00am/6:30am to 4:00pm). 44-hour work week.

Compensation Structure: $30-$34/hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

- Providing assistance for all shipping and logistic functions at the operational unit(s) assigned
- Provide assistance to the Delivery Team




- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of product for customers
- Track, monitor and manage all material movement within the yard
- Assist with all major project and implementations related to logistics, shipping and inventory required.
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers and co-workers
- Act as liaison between Operations and Customers
- Employ productive, proactive and effective conflict resolution strategies
- Ensure clear, accurate and timely communication remains top priority
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in a logistics coordinator or shipping coordinator role in a fast-paced industry
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently to provide clear, concise, and detailed instruction to multiple stakeholders
- Ability to monitor and manage a dynamic and busy lumber yard
- Experience coordinating production and delivery timelines between multiple departments
- Experience providing leadership and direction to a team of people primarily working offsite
- Experience in optimized geographical delivery planning
- Experience with growing companies supporting builders, construction, or multi-site manufacturing organizations will be favorably viewed
- Fluency in English in written, reading, and oral communication (speed, accuracy, and proper expression)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
- Ability to provide a current Police or RCMP Criminal Record Check
