Join our agile team as a Livestock Worker, specializing in pastured poultry, sheep, and cattle. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for the daily care, management, and health of livestock on pasture-based farms. Duties
- Assist with the daily feeding, watering, and health monitoring of poultry, sheep, and cattle in pasture settings
- Perform routine inspections to ensure animals are healthy and living conditions are optimal
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, feed dispensers, and fencing equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting of feed bags, equipment, and livestock as needed to support farm operations
- Maintain clean and safe animal housing areas and pasture boundaries
- Support rotational grazing practices to promote pasture health and animal well-being
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of fencing,
water lines, and farm infrastructure using mechanical knowledge
Experience
- Prior experience working with livestock on pasture-based farms or similar environments is preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge for maintaining farm equipment and machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in outdoor conditions
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is a plus but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude toward animal care and farm maintenance
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
