Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, have excellent communication skills,



and possess a strong understanding of hospitality and food service operations. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy their dining experience from the moment they arrive. Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional guest services
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure timely seating arrangements
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Assist with guest needs throughout their visit, including providing menus and answering questions about the menu or specials
- Manage guest flow during busy hours to minimize wait times and enhance customer satisfaction
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and customer service at all times

Experience

- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles is highly desirable
- Experience working in restaurants or hotels, especially with POS systems like Micros POS, is preferred
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service operations and customer service best practices is a plus
- Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings will be advantageous for success in this role
