Batard Bakery – Vancouver, BC

About Us:
Batard Bakery is a well-loved neighbourhood bakery in "Fraserhood", known for our French baked goods, specialty groceries, bistro fare, and coffee/tea offerings. We’re looking for a friendly, courteous team member to join our front-of-house staff and help provide an outstanding experience for our wonderful regular patrons.

Position: Front of House All-Rounder, Part time 2+ days/week

Wage: $18.50/h + Tips

Required availability:

- Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: Flexible
- Saturdays, Sundays: All Day

Responsibilities:

- Follow instructions, procedures and checklists
- Prepare & Serve: espresso-based beverages using semi-automatic espresso machine
- Prepare & Serve: bistro menu with prepared ingredients
- Packaging & Labelling: in-house products, baked goods, retail products
- Provide warm, welcoming customer service
- Handle payments and operate the POS system
- Assist customers with bakery, grocery, and bistro purchases




- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow food-handling practices and basic food safety standards

Ideal Candidate:

- Passionate about food and coffee
- Value consistency, procedure, and discipline
- 1+ year of Barista experience
- Payment handling experience
- Food-handling experience
- Enjoys interacting with the public and building rapport with regular customers
- Food Safety certification is a plus
