Job Summary

Quick Scrap Metal is seeking a reliable and safety-focused "Z" Driver to operate a lift gate truck for the pickup and transportation of scrap metal and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, excellent knowledge of local routes, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Z-class truck with lift gate for local pickups and deliveries

- Safely load, unload, and transport scrap metal and materials

- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly

- Ensure proper securing of loads in compliance with safety regulations

- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining efficiency

- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries

- Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and required documentation

- Adhere to company policies,



MTO regulations, and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Z Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (preferred)

- Experience operating a lift gate truck is an asset

- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs or more)

- Knowledge of GTA routes and traffic regulations

- Solid work ethic, reliability, and time management skills

- Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset

Working Conditions

- Physically demanding role involving lifting, bending, and outdoor work

- Exposure to varying weather conditions

- Early start times and overtime may be required
