We’re currently seeking a qualified Payroll and Benefits Administrator who will be responsible for preparing and processing the weekly payroll cycles for all our employees across our 6 branches. This candidate will ensure that all aspects of the payroll cycle are processed in a timely/accurate manner in accordance with Company policy and government regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process the weekly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now for our 6 locations (Brampton, Calgary, Florida, Texas, Arizona and Atlanta).
- Processing all payroll data, including commission reports, timesheets, piece work reports, car allowances, expenses and deductions
- Process employee terminations and settlements in accordance with provincial and state legislation
- Maintain and update all employee rates, salaries, banking information, time-off details, and position and status changes in the payroll system
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues with Human Resources and Management
- Provide information to employees regarding pay discrepancies or queries.
- Process full year-end cycle including 3rd party reporting, T4’s, T2200’s, etc.
- Maintain absences tracker for Hourly and Salaried employees (6 Locations)
- Prepare and ensure timely processing of monthly Payroll journal entries (6 Locations)
- File employer reports of injury and provide pay information to workers compensation boards
- Assist with Year End Review as directed by Management.
- Prepare and submit Records of Employment
- Prepare job letters and memos (employment, warning letters, termination, or intercompany memos) as required.
- Facilitate the company’s benefit program, including entering and updating employee information (salaried and hourly employees)




- Manage and maintain all Health and Safety files. Ensuring all certifications are up to date.
- Scheduling Health and Safety training as required.
- Assist with developing and maintaining company HR Policies as directed by Management.
- Prepare monthly WSIB remittances
- Prepare monthly Union dues remittance
- Prepare monthly Garnishment remittance
- Assist with HR programs and duties to support the HR team
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews for warehouse positions.
- Process employee onboarding documentation
- Keep employee files organized and up to date
- Remain up to date with payroll compliance legislation and best practices
- Other duties as assigned/required

Job Requirements:

- Post secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or Human Resources
- 1-3 years experience in payroll and perks administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing payroll in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification with National Payroll Institute preferred
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now an asset
- Experience processing payroll year-end, T4s, and T2200s
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
