Responsibilities

- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.

- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, discoveries, motions, and court proceedings.

- Prepare pleadings, affidavits, legal briefs, and other litigation documents.

- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.

- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.

- Attend hearings, case conferences, mediations, and trials as required.

- Provide practical legal advice while maintaining a high standard of client service.

- Collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation matters and contribute to team success.





- Develop expertise across a broad range of civil litigation matters beyond personal injury.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of post-call experience practicing civil litigation.

- Experience handling personal injury litigation is considered a strong asset.

- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills.

- Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities.

- Ability to independently manage files while meeting deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.

- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta, or eligible for membership.
