Babine Truck & Equipment Ltd. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dealership accounting professional who thrives in a rapid-paced setting and is looking to play a key role in the financial success of a heavy truck dealership.

Babine Truck & Equipment Ltd. is a Mack and Volvo heavy truck dealership with locations in Prince George, Smithers, and Prince Rupert, serving customers throughout Northern British Columbia. Responsibilities:

- Daily accounting operations and month-end/quarter-end close.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and maintain financial templates and reports in accordance with Mullen Group reporting requirements, corporate accounting policies, and applicable accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manufacturer schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.




- Work closely with dealership management to support business decisions.
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and accounting activities
- Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support accounting and financial records
- Reconciling various monthly remittances (GST, PST warranty, etc.)
- Post settlements of credit transactions
- Oversee collection of accounts receivable
- Post recent, used, and wholesale deals
- Maintain and optimize accounting processes using the CDK Dealer Management System (DMS).

Qualifications:

- Experience with CDK DMS in an automotive or heavy truck dealership is considered a significant asset and will be given preferential consideration.
- Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is valuable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
