Our clinicians work collaboratively to support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, relationship concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health challenges.

We are passionate about developing the next generation of therapists by providing high-quality supervision, structured learning, and hands-on clinical experience within a supportive team environment.

About the Practicum

We are currently accepting applications for Master's-level Counselling and Psychology practicum students beginning (but not limited) September 2026.

This placement is designed for graduate students who are eager to strengthen their clinical skills while working alongside experienced clinicians in a collaborative private practice setting.

Students will gradually build a caseload while receiving regular supervision, participating in case consultation, and gaining experience with both in-person and virtual therapy.

What You'll Experience

During your practicum you will have opportunities to:

- Provide individual counselling to children, adolescents, and/or adults (depending on your training and interests)
- Conduct intake sessions and ongoing psychotherapy
- Develop case conceptualization and treatment planning skills
- Complete clinical documentation using our electronic health record
- Participate in individual and group clinical supervision
- Attend case consultation and professional development meetings
- Observe experienced clinicians and receive ongoing feedback
- Develop confidence in ethical decision-making and professional practice
- Learn the day-to-day operations of a private psychology clinic

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for students who are:

- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related mental health discipline
- Eligible to begin a practicum placement through their university in September 2026
- Passionate about helping clients create meaningful change
- Strong communicators who value collaboration and feedback
- Professional, organized, and eager to learn
- Able to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

Requirements

- Enrollment in an accredited graduate counselling or psychology program
- University approval for practicum placement
- Skilled liability insurance (or eligibility to obtain through your program)
- Current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check (if required)
- Ability to commit to the practicum requirements established by your academic program

Placement Details

- Start: September 2026 or later
- Length: Based on your university's practicum requirements
- Schedule: Flexible weekdays based on clinic availability and university requirements
- Location: Edmonton
- Format: In-person with opportunities for virtual service delivery
