We are seeking a passionate and engaging Improv Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and adults and fostering a fun, supportive workplace for developing improvisational skills. The instructor will lead beginner-level improv classes, encouraging students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop essential communication skills. Prior experience running Improv classes or clubs is an asset and preferred.
Thursdays 6pm-8:00pm. 10 weeks September 24th-November 26th. *Must be available for the full session*
6pm-7pm: Kids Improv
7pm-8pm: Adult Improv
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging improv activities tailored to beginner students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and self-expression.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their improvisational skills and confidence.
- Maintain a safe and supportive space for all participants during classes and activities.
Skills
- Experience working with children and adults in a leadership role.
- A background in theatre, the arts, Improv and/or acting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for improvisation, performance arts, or related fields like cooking or other creative activities.
- Ability to foster a fun, inclusive atmosphere that promotes confidence and teamwork among students.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for inspiring young minds through interactive learning experiences.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
