Position Details

Position: Health Care Aide (HCA)
Location: Alberta
Healthcare Settings: Acute Care, Combined Acute Care, Med/Surg & Emergency Department
Contract Length: Flexible assignments from 4 weeks to 6 months
Contract Period: May 4, 2026 – November 4, 2026
Shift Options: Days, Evenings, Nights & Weekends
Shift Length: 8.25-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $27.00/hour

What You Bring

We are looking for HCAs who are confident working in fast-paced hospital environments and enjoy providing hands-on patient care.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of acute care or Med/Surg experience within the last 5 years
- Current BLS-HCP certification
- Current CHLA certification
- Solid patient-care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Your Role

As a Health Care Aide with Augury Healthcare, you will play an important role in supporting patients and nursing teams.

Responsibilities may include:

- Assisting patients with activities of daily living
- Supporting nurses with patient care activities
- Providing compassionate and respectful care to patients and families
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, hygiene, and comfort measures
- Observing and reporting changes in patient condition
- Maintaining a safe and clean care environment
- Following facility policies, care plans, and infection prevention practices




- Collaborating with nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
