As the College continues to expand its educational programs, strategic partnerships, and institutional growth initiatives, we are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Marketing & Business Development Specialist to support our long-term marketing, recruitment, partnership, and business development objectives.

This hybrid position offers an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the College's brand, expanding its market presence, supporting student recruitment initiatives, and contributing to organizational growth.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to senior management, the Strategic Marketing & Business Development Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic marketing and communication initiatives that support student recruitment, institutional branding, business development, and organizational growth.

The successful candidate will independently identify new market opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, coordinate promotional initiatives, support institutional development projects, and contribute to future growth initiatives, including franchise development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Strategic Marketing & Communications

- Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing and communications strategies.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that increase student enrolment and institutional visibility.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and environmental scans to identify market trends and growth opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate advertising, promotional, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Develop brochures, newsletters, promotional materials, presentations, reports, website content, blogs, and other communication materials.
- Coordinate publicity events, promotional activities, and institutional marketing campaigns.
- Conduct online marketing, e-commerce, website promotions, and social media marketing initiatives.
- Evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance metrics.
- Maintain consistent institutional branding across all marketing channels.

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

- Identify and pursue business development opportunities that support institutional growth.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with employers, healthcare organizations,



community agencies, educational institutions, government organizations, and industry stakeholders.
- Develop business proposals, presentations, partnership initiatives, and marketing plans.
- Represent the College at networking events, education fairs, community outreach activities, and business meetings.
- Conduct labour market research and recommend new business opportunities aligned with institutional objectives.

Institutional Growth & Expansion

- Support organizational growth initiatives, institutional development projects, and strategic expansion activities.
- Assist in evaluating new educational programs and market opportunities.
- Maintain databases of prospective institutional partners, employers, and future franchise opportunities.
- Participate in business planning activities supporting long-term organizational growth.
- Coordinate assigned strategic projects and prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Commerce
- Communications
- Public Relations
- Strategic Management
- or another related field.

Postgraduate education in Business, Marketing, Strategic Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset.

Experience

- Minimum five (5) years of progressive professional experience in marketing, communications, business development, strategic planning, or organizational growth.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives.
- Experience conducting market research, competitor analysis, and marketing analytics.
- Experience developing business plans, proposals, and partnership initiatives.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience within educational institutions, training organizations, healthcare organizations, franchise development, or institutional growth initiatives is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Technical SkillsRequired

The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in:

- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Strategic marketing and communications

- Market research and competitive analysis
- Business development and partnership development
- Website content management
- Business report writing, proposal development, and professional presentations
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new business applications

Experience with one or more of the following is considered an asset:

- Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
- WordPress or other Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Microsoft Visio
- Final Cut Pro or similar video editing software
- LinkedIn business networking and recruitment tools
- Zendesk or similar customer support platforms
- Workday or other Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
