About the Role ‘A BBY Power Warrior’

This is much more than a management position.

As the Studio Manager & Sales Lead, you will become the operational leader of Bohemian Bliss Yoga.

You will oversee the day-to-day studio operations while leading our member experience, supporting our teaching and admin teams, and helping people begin or continue their wellness journey.

You will work closely with the Owner to bring ideas to life, improve systems, and continue building one of Durham Region's most loved wellness communities.

You are someone who naturally creates order, inspires others, enjoys building relationships, and isn't afraid to have meaningful conversations that help people take the next step toward their goals.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Studio Operations

- Open the studio each morning
- Prepare the studio for daily operations
- Ensure the space is welcoming, clean, organized, and beautiful




- Monitor studio presentation and cleanliness
- Inventory management and retail merchandising
- Coordinate daily priorities
- Ensure systems and procedures are followed consistently
- Assist with scheduling and operational planning

Sales & Member Experience

This role is equally focused on leadership and sales.

Sales at BBY are never about pressure.

They're about listening, understanding someone's goals, and helping them find the best path forward.

Responsibilities include:

- Conduct Heart-to-Hearts (intentional wellness consultations)
- Welcome and support all new students ("Hot Yogis")
- Follow up with new leads within 24 hours
- Convert introductory offers into memberships
- Recommend programs, workshops, retreats, and memberships
- Build meaningful relationships with members
- Track KPIs and sales performance
- Help achieve monthly studio goals
- Encourage referrals and reviews
- Support community events and markets

Leadership

- Lead and inspire the Admin Team
- Support and encourage BBY Teachers
- Delegate daily responsibilities to evening administration
- Conduct quarterly team check-ins
- Celebrate wins and recognize growth
- Coach team members through challenges
- Resolve member concerns professionally and compassionately
- Communicate daily priorities clearly
- Help improve systems and efficiency
- Create a positive workplace culture

Community

- Welcome every member by name whenever possible
- Celebrate milestones and birthdays
- Create meaningful connections within the BBY community
- Share announcements at classes and events

Qualifications





We'd love someone with experience in:

- Leadership or management
- Sales and customer experience
- Health, wellness, fitness, or hospitality
- Team leadership
- Marketing and community engagement
- Conflict resolution
- Administrative systems
- CRM software
- Social media
- Event coordination

Yoga teaching experience is an asset, but not required.

Requirements

Required:

- Valid CPR Certification
- Reliable transportation
- Laptop
- Cell phone with data

Assets:

- 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
- Group Fitness Certification
- Experience with Wix, Google Workspace or CRM software

Schedule

Approximately 39 hours per week

Monday-Friday
8:30am-3:00pm (or 9:00am-3:30pm depending on seasonal operations)

PLUS One weekend morning each week (Saturday or Sunday), scheduled based on studio programming.

This includes support for programs such as Puppy Yoga, workshops, retreats, and seasonal events.

Occasional evenings may be required for staff meetings, training, staff holiday coverage, or special events.

Compensation & Benefits

- $20-$22/hour based on experience and successful completion of training
- 3% commission on personal sales
