The Role

The F&B; Manager presents the “frontline” impression of the F&B; operation including a large conference facility and ensuring all guests expectations are met and exceeded. The F&B; Manager reports to the General Manager and attends all executive meetings. This individual is responsible for the overall smooth operation of the F&B; Department in coordination with the other departments.

Activities:

This position requires working all shifts including weekends, and holidays

- Development/coordination/delivery of training in all aspects of the F&B; department including: guest service, department policies and procedures, banquet set up, service and standards, safe and orderly operation.
- Manage labour costs through efficient work scheduling.
- Work closely with the Catering Sales Manager and Executive Chef to ensure accurate function details.
- Ensure proper care, security & maintenance of hotel equipment through proper supervision of F&B; staff.
- Maintain daily housekeeping programs for F&B; areas.
- Monitor staff's appearance, attitude & degree of professionalism.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to increase communication.
- Meet with VIP convenors prior to the start of each function to ensure all requests are satisfied
- Ongoing communication with the kitchen during all meal periods
- Prepare banquet bills according to standards and procedures and deliver a bill to every convenor for signature and/or payment prior to their departure, communicate in house charges on contracts to respective departments involved
- Conduct a pre-function meeting with all service staff and follow up on all F&B; set up
- Host weekly food & beverage meeting, daily catering meeting and pre-cons
- Recruitment and interviewing of department personnel




- Hotel Manager On Duty Shifts as required

Competencies We Are Seeking:

- Minimum 2-3 years F&B; Management experience.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must - both for our guests and as teamwork skills for your internal customers. Superior leadership, delegation and employee relations skills
- Excellent problem solving skills, highly motivated and adaptable

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
