Job Description

Hempire House is currently hiring for our retail location in Tottenham, Ontario.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual with retail experience and a strong knowledge of legal cannabis products and brands. At Hempire House, we aim to deliver more than just a transaction, we provide a welcoming, educational, and personalized customer experience. Our knowledgeable and approachable team takes pride in helping each customer find the right product to suit their needs.

Requirements & Experience

- Minimum age: 19 years
- Valid CannSell Certification (required)
- Criminal background check (required)
- Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred)
- Cannabis retail experience is an asset
- Cash handling and POS system experience is an asset
- Inventory management or stocking experience is an asset
- Experience opening and closing a retail store is an asset
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule

- 4–8 hour shifts
- Day and evening shifts
- Monday to Friday, weekends, and holidays
- Store is open 7 days a week

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers with a friendly and qualified approach, offering personalized guidance based on individual preferences and needs




- Educate customers on cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and expected effects
- Accurately operate the POS system for sales transactions and inventory tracking
- Perform cash-handling responsibilities with accuracy and accountability
- Maintain organized, visually appealing merchandise displays and ensure consistent product availability
- Recommend and upsell products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales
- Respond to customer inquiries in person and over the phone with clear and effective communication
- Maintain accurate records through filing and computer-based tasks
- Support inventory management, including restocking and product organization
- Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements related to cannabis sales and age verification
- Assist team leadership in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment

Job Details

- Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Benefits: On-site parking

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
