Lactalis is one of Canada’s leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese, and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a licensed Millwright to join our team in our manufacturing facility in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario which produces yogourt and sour cream

The ideal candidate will be part of a team working in shift rotation. This position will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of all the plant’s equipment, processes, and property. As a Millwright for Lactalis, you will be performing daily preventative maintenance on processing equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, ancillary equipment, etc. Adjustments and repairs to be performed on production equipment as the need arises.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Complete all assigned work and accurately document completion of work
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
- Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment and new construction
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards
- Perform tasks related to dismantling, installation, repair, and testing mechanical equipment
- Perform other trades practices on work assignments
- Provide information regarding job downtime,



material needs, manpower, and uptime
- Other duties as assigned

Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate

- Licensed millwright within Ontario (433 A License)
- Driven ability to learn and perform all aspects of the job
- Robust preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Capability to read, interpret and utilize blueprints and drawings
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance management software (SAP) would be an asset
- Experience with plant utilities including HVAC, low pressure boiler, glycol chiller, and compressors would be considered an asset

Schedule

Days and afternoon shift rotational as required

Days: 6:00 am -2:30pm

Afternoons: 3:00 pm - 11:30pm (shift may run late based on daily production needs.

Weekends as needed
