Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Treatment Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating water treatment systems to ensure the delivery of clean, safe water for peoples homes. Your expertise will help support vital operations by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring regulatory standards are met. This position offers an exciting prospect to work with some heavy equipment and develop your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment equipment including pumps, filters, chemical feeders, and control systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of treatment systems to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling chemicals, filters, or equipment and parts.
- Operate heavy machinery such as mini excavators or cranes
- Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system performance.




- Record operational data accurately, including chemical dosages, flow rates, and maintenance activities for reporting purposes.

Experience

- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in operating or maintaining water treatment systems or similar industrial equipment.
- Prior experience working within a technician based industry or other heavy industries is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or other machinery used in industrial settings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to chemical handling, heavy lifting, and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
