Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 3rd Year Apprentice Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties

- Assist in preparing materials and components for welding by using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metal parts following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Support the setup and operation of machinery including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to shape metal components accurately.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise assembly and fabrication work.
- Conduct routine inspections of welded joints using calipers and other measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with rigging, lifting, and positioning heavy materials using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support the assembly of ductwork, mechanical structures, or construction components as directed by senior team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Follow safety procedures consistently,



including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to create a safe working environment for all team members.

Experience

- Currently enrolled in a recognized apprenticeship program or have completed at least two years of technical training related to welding or manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding is required; familiarity with TIG welding is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, rigging techniques, and the operation of power tools such as grinders, drills, and presses.
- Experience working with hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment is preferred.
- Construction or manufacturing experience that demonstrates an ability to work safely with heavy materials and machinery.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, angles, and material quantities accurately.
- Valid certification or training in forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory at the outset; willingness to obtain certification is expected.
