Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of bank and inventory-related accounts. This role will prepare and analyze financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and cannabis industry-specific reporting requirements, while collaborating with operations and leadership to provide clear financial insights.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Camrose, AB, requiring regular interaction with production, sales, and management teams to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.

Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting,



and financial analysis to support planning, cost control, and strategic decision-making.

Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, and be comfortable working with ERP or inventory tracking systems.

Candidates should possess knowledge of tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements, preferably with experience in highly regulated industries such as cannabis, agriculture, or manufacturing.

Candidates should possess robust attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.

Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Candidates should ideally have a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designations (CPA or in progress) are considered an asset.

Candidates should possess a high level of integrity, discretion with sensitive information, and an interest in contributing to the long-term success of a growing cannabis brand.
